ÓPTIMO HATWORKS AND TIMELESS ATTIRE offers custom hats and leatherwear—all

of which are expertly made by hand to last for decades.

HatsWith regard to hats, Óptimo is one of only a few traditional milliners still in existence.

Proprietor S. Grant Sergot painstakingly hand-shapes each one using vintage tools.

“Historic equipment is the best for sculpting a hat by hand,” Grant explains, “but I use

them to create contemporary looks for both casual or dress.”

To make an Óptimo hat, Sergot starts with a hat body of either straw (hand-woven

in Ecuador) or beaver felt (hand-crafted in Tennessee). He manually steams and shapes,Vest

teasing the hat body into the desired style and fitting the client’s specific head contours.

Grant believes that an ideal hat fits both the head and the personality of the owner.

For his line of “travel leathers”, Grant designs the entire collection and personally works with skilled leather artists from Ecuador to achieve his high standards of quality. “I chose Ecuadorian artisans because their tradition of craftsmanship is—bar none—the best in the world,” he says.

Grant’s travel leathers offer maximum wardrobe flexibility: The jackets and vests

look great duded-up for dress occasions yet remain perfectly at home in casual settings.

Jacket With construction that includes thoughtful placement of snaps, closures, and pockets,

these garments are appropriate for weekend jaunts and international travel alike. Prices

are surprisingly affordable, with vests starting around $100 and jackets going up to $300.

“I’m pleased to offer hats, vests, and jackets that surpass both functional and aesthetic

needs,” Grant says. “As I like to say about the collection: To see it is to smile; to touch it is to feel good; to wear it is to know... Óptimo.”

Óptimo Hatworks and Timeless Attire is located at 47 Main Street in Bisbee, AZ.

Scrapper's Edge & Scrap Pink join forces to fight Breast Cancer

Scrapper’s Edge joins nationwide Scrap PinkTM campaign to benefit breast cancer research

Scrappink_logo

Eureka, California – September 29, 2007, local Scrapbooking enthusiasts will come together for the first-ever Scrap Pink weekend, a fundraising event created by Scrapbooks etc to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Hosting the event locally will be Scrapper’s Edge, the largest Scrapbooking shop in Northern California, located at 728 4th Street in Eureka.

On Scrap Pink weekend, retailers will invite consumers to participate in an exciting in-store scrapbooking party, called a crop, where scrapbookers will create layouts and projects.  Customers will pay $30 to attend the crop, and $10 of this fee will be donated to support Komen’s mission to find a cure for breast cancer through research, education, screening, and treatment.

Sondra Kirtley, owner of Scrapper’s Edge, sees Scrap Pink as much more than just another fundraiser.  “It’s a time to get together, make new friends, work on scrapbooking projects, and raise money for two very good causes.”  In addition to supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure campaign, Kirtley is also donating 10% of all her sales on September 28th and 29th to the Humboldt Community Breast Health Project.  “I’ve supported the local project every year I’ve been in business and am happy to combine my efforts with the national Scrap Pink event this year,”  Kirtley added.

To ensure adequate space, supplies and food for participants, Kirtley recommend that Scrapbookers call in advance of the Scrap Pink crop.  To sign up for Scrap Pink or for more details about the local event, call 445-9686 or visit Scrapper’s Edge, located at 728 4th Street inScrappink_logo_2 Eureka.  Scrap Pink information is also available at www.Scrappink.com and at www.ScrappersEdge.net.

MARY HARRIS STEPS OUT AT ELEMENTS OF STYLE BOUTIQUE

Mary_speakingTwenty-five women gathered last week for the monthly “Ladies Night Out at Elements of Style Boutique” in Waxahachie, TX.  Mary of Mary Harris Shops was the honored guest speaker.  Amidst food, margaritas, and laughter, our favorite wardrobe therapist took the crowd through the first steps of personal wardrobe styling.  There was even prizes for correctly answering questions like:  What color looks good on everyone?

Our "before" Mom jeans appeared once again and were replaced with new great "after" jeans from Mary_explaining_2 Elements of Style.   The evening concluded with shopping throughout the boutique with a discount for the occasion and free dressing room consults by Mary.  This is definitely the best way to shop!

Sugardaddy’s Extends Its Fresh-Baked, Luxury Brownie

Sugar

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SUGARDADDY’S SUMPTUOUS SWEETIES® ANNOUNCES ITS NEW,

EXCLUSIVE PRODUCT: BROWNIE BISCOTTITM  Brownie

Sugardaddy’s Extends Its Fresh-Baked, Luxury Brownie Product Line

With “Rich, Crisp, and Edgy” Brownie BiscottiTM

Bisc April 19, 2007—Columbus, OH—Sugardaddy’s Sumptuous Sweeties®, gifting purveyors of the edgeless brownie®, is pleased to announce the launch of its new, exclusive luxury brownie product, Brownie BiscottiTM.

Sugardaddy’s is known for using fresh, premium ingredients including farm-fresh eggs, real butter, a rich blend of gourmet melted and chunk chocolates, and premium whole nuts and fruit purees to create its luxury brownie products. Sugardaddy’s takes an inventive twist on classic biscotti by marrying the traditional biscotti baking technique to its cut away edges of Sugardaddy’s edgeless brownies®. The result is a delicious, new-to-market American treat that’s rich, crisp, and edgy.

“Sugardaddy’s customers are familiar with Sugardaddy’s Pocket ChangeTM—our bite-sized brownie bites created from the ‘cut-away’ pieces of our ‘edgeless brownies.’  What most of our customers do not know is that the very edges of our pan never make Pocket ChangeTM as they are too chewy in consistency and don’t match the moist, delicate Pocket ChangeTM pieces.  It always seemed a shame to not utilize these rich edges. Then, it dawned on us that we could create biscotti by cutting them in uniform strips and re-baking them.” says Tom Finney, Co-Founder and Co-Owner.

“We are excited by the result of our product development and by our customers’ initial response to Sugardaddy’s Brownie BiscottiTM.  American consumers know what biscotti are.  Sugardaddy’s customers know what Sugardaddy’s luxury brownies are.  The marriage of the two is exciting in both taste and texture. Moreover, Brownie BiscottiTM is exclusive to Sugardaddy’s.” says Co-Founder and Co-Owner, Mark Ballard.

Choose from six mouth-watering flavors:

·          Auburn OriginalTM—double chocolate chunk with roasted walnuts
